CYU is an interfaith peace movement concerned about the growing violence in Kenya. Her desire is to bring about justice and peace through Active Non-Violent means.

To stop the destructive cycle of violence in order to save the human race by working together and bringing justice and peace through non-violent means.

Their vision and mission:
As a regional peace building network, PTN is committed to the vision of peaceful coexistence amongst peoples and states of the region. PTN is a forum for solidarity amongst peace actors, a search for just, sustainable, humane and peaceful alternatives at local, national and regional levels. PTN’s mission is to develop and maintain collaborative relationships among peace actors in order to promote sustainable peace in the region. This is to be achieved by members co-operating to complement each other’s strengths and enhance their capacity for a greater impact through exchange of information, experiences and resources.

Their Work: PTN’s objectives are:

  1. To establish and develop national and regional structures for the harmonization of peace initiatives and the fostering of solidarity among peace actors.
  2. To enhance the capacity of PTN members so as to maximize the impact of their work through the creation of an enabling environment for the exchange of information, experiences and resources.
  3. To encourage and support sustainable impact oriented peace initiatives in the region.

Their vision and mission:
PPA’s vision is to have a just African society in which harmony, peace and reconciliation exist as a way of life based on true religion and rich traditional values while adopting modern ways of mediation and healing through a participatory process originating from the grassroots. PPA’s mission is to seek ways of bringing peace and reconciliation to Africa through empowerment of the people, especially at the grassroots level. This will be achieved by integrating the peoples’ deepest religious values and the rich African traditions in peace making and the modern ways of mediation. We desire to bring about justice and peace through active non-violent means.

To initiate and support peace activities in the country.
